Seaside will forever be my happy place. Every time we go, we have our favorite places but we love exploring and finding new favorites! This was my 14th year going to Seaside and it still has not lost any wonder. It is such an amazing place for families, couples and I even did my bachelorette party here.
WHERE WE STAYED
We are so blessed to be able to stay in my family’s house! It is right behind town square and perfect walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. Our houses are available for rent-
Going Coastal is a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath house that is perfect for a larger family or couples!
Tight Lines is the smaller cottage with two bedrooms that would be great for one family with kids or for a couple!
*You can also rent both for more room if they are both available!
WHAT WE ATE/DRANK
There is never a shortage of amazing food choices in Seaside! The biggest factor is parking/how far you want to drive. You can walk to all the restaurants in Seaside and not have to use a car if that is what you prefer! This list could go on forever but here are the highlights…
Forty Five Central Wine & Sushi Bar: On Sundays, Wednesdays & Fridays Chef Joyce makes paella out in front of the restaurant. I am not a big paella
Bud & Alleys: This is one of our favorite places to end the night. The view is amazing from the upstairs bar and the key lime pie is the best in Seaside. Come after dinner to enjoy and drink & the view!
Black Bear Bread Co: This is one of those places where you can’t go wrong whatever you order. BUT the Bagel & Lox and the cinnamon roll are amazing! It seems small, but you can use their restaurant next door for more indoor and outdoor seating. Come early as the cinnamon rolls do run out!
Drinks: Seaside has their “resort license” so you can get beverages to go and walk around town with them. Great Southern has LET’S mojitos, BFFs drinks are so fun & the taco bar is perfect for your margarita fix!
WHAT WE DID
There is something for everyone around Seaside! You can shop till you drop, be a beach bum, or walk through all the trails. We shopped a little- checked out the cutest shop: Indigo Watercolor, took daily walks on the beach, and enjoyed all the sunsets!
The Beach
Seaside is a private beach, so you have to be staying in a house (your rental company will give you an access code for the beach) or rent chairs through Cabana Man. We always look at the calendar and get chairs on certain days and then explore others. The weather in Florida is always changing, but Cabana Man does not offer refunds for bad weather! I love being a beach bum & reading on the beach!
Fishing
We love going fishing while we are here. We always catch something different and it’s a blast to be able to cook what you catch on vacation. We went with Captain Phil’s Charters this time and would highly recommend it. You leave from Crayton Beach (so it is an easy drive) and they offer a good price!
THE WEATHER
October and May are my favorite times to come to Seaside. It rained hard one day, but the rest of the time was sunny with the perfect breeze! The water was chilly but not crazy cold.
WHAT I WORE
I was so proud of myself- I didn’t overpack for this trip! I usually lean towards sundresses for dinner and swimsuits with fun coverups during the day. Each look is linked on my LTK HERE & some of my favorite pieces are down below for y’all to easily shop!
