Hello! Chris and I are off to Alaska and we are honestly so excited! (I will do a post or two about our trip when we get back!) We are going for a week to Bear Claw Lodge to fish, explore and enjoy time together off the grid. That’s right! No TV. No Cell Reception. Okay not totally off the grid, they do have WiFi haha but we are going to use it as time to unplug.
As excited as I am about this trip, I am not looking forward to the long day of travel. We are starting our day with a flight to Seattle, then to Anchorage, then to Dillingham, then we will be picked up to head to the lodge.
When I travel, especially for long flights or long flying days, these are my top travel essentials!
Slip Silk Sleep Mask
I have my friend Calla to thank for making me obsessed with this sleep mask. She got me one for Christmas last year and my travel routine was forever changed. Whether on the plane (you know they never get dark enough) or at a hotel this guarantees total darkness for optimal sleep.
p.s. I also highly recommend the slip pillowcase!

COWIN Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones
For me, noise cancelling headphones are must no matter how long your flight is. They make the flight so much more enjoyable! Especially now that airlines are providing in flight entertainment through their WiFi/app so you can watch movies on your iPad even when there isn’t TVs on the plane.
For a solid option that doesn’t break the bank, Chris & I both have these. They come in 6 different colors and for the price they work well!
30 Hours Playtime Per Charge | Wire and Wireless Modes | Protein Ear Pads for Comfort
MAC Prep & Prime Fix
A lot of things can happen to our skin on a plane: breakouts, dullness, post-flight puffiness, and more. To salvage your skin, add a face mist to your in-flight routine!

Memory Foam Travel Neck Pillow
Honestly, I do not care how dorky these may be, when your neck is not sore coming off a plane, you won’t either! I have this one in pink (Chris has the blue). I picked this one because it has a clip so you can clip it to the outside of your travel purse or backpack and you don’t have to “make room” for it in your carry on.

Trifold Smart Case for iPad
As I mentioned with the headphones, you never know if you are going to be on a plane with your own TV, so I always bring my iPad just in case! I love this iPad case, so you don’t have to hold your iPad in your lap to enjoy your movie. Pull down the tray table and this holds your iPad in the perfect position for you. This one is available in multiple colors!
